Now, it is also important for you to note that installation is a factor that needs to be considered when choosing the best bidet toilet seats.

But, there is no need for you to worry. This quick guide will help you install your bidet in no time!

Bidet Installation In 3 Easy Steps

Basically, there are 3 steps in installing your bidet seats. And these steps apply to all kinds and types of bidets.

1. Remove the Existing Toilet Seat

bidet installationWhen you close the lid of your toilet, you will notice that there are two caps that hold the lid. Well, these caps cover the mounting holes of your toilet for a much secure placement. Now, remove the caps by either unscrewing the screws or flipping the caps upside down.

Once removed, take the lid. And from there, you will notice your bowl is already a seat-less toilet along with its exposed two mounting holes.

2. Mount the Bidet Toilet Seat

Before you mount your bidet toilet seat, you should install first the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is the one that holds the bidet toilet seat in its position.

All you need to do is to place the bracket on the two mounting holes. Accordingly, insert the guide rails that hold the bolts in place. Drop the bolts inside the guide rails until it passes through the mounting holes. Secure the bolts using the nuts.

Check the mounting bracket if it’s already stable and secure. Once done, slowly slide the bidet toilet seat until you hear clicking sound. When you hear this, it means that the bidet seat attachment is already in its proper position.

3. Connect to the Water Supply

Underneath and behind your toilet, you will see a hose that connects your toilet water tank to the supply. There is an extended valve located at the bottom. And this is called the angle-stop.

Before connecting or disconnecting any hoses, make sure that the water supply is shut off. Detach the hose that is in the angle-stop. Then, attach the T-connection or splitter that is included in the package and reconnect the detached hose from the angle-stop to the attached T-connection or splitter.

Connect now the bidet hose to the open T-connection going to the bidet. Try to open now the water supply and check whether all connections are tight.

Electric Bidet Seat Attachments

For electric bidet seat attachments, obviously, you will need electricity to make it work. So, after doing the last step given above, all you need to do is to plug the wire into the outlet. But, you should note that these wires are not long. Hence, make sure that there is an outlet nearby the toilet.
